Outside of Sheppard Pratt Health System

On occasion, it may be the case that the treatment team requests a consultation that cannot be provided by Sheppard Pratt Health System. These consultations include internal medicine, gynecology, neurology, and sleep studies. These can be arranged with the medical staff of Greater Baltimore Medical Center, Johns Hopkins Hospital, University of Maryland Medical Center, or other local institutions. These consultations are often helpful in sorting out especially difficult diagnostic issues and generating an individualized treatment plan. These consultations are the financial responsibility of the resident, and may be paid with insurance benefits or privately.
