Melissa Thompson, CTRS

Recreational Therapist, The Retreat at Sheppard Pratt

Melissa graduated from the University of Georgia with a B.S.Ed in Recreation and Leisure Studies, and has earned her certification as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS). She has been involved in research in Leisure Education and has contributed to Leisure Education Program Planning: A Systematic Approach by John Dattilo. Melissa has been working as a Recreational Therapist in mental health since 2002. She works with residents in both group and individual sessions at The Retreat.
