Dr. Aaronson is a thought leader in the areas of biological psychiatry, diagnosis and the integration of somatic and psychological therapies. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and elected to membership in the American College of Psychiatrists. In addition to his work on the Retreat, Dr. Aaronson is the Director of Clinical Research at Sheppard Pratt where he is the principal investigator for multiple studies on the development of novel therapies for mood, anxiety and psychotic disorders. He is a valued speaker and educator and frequently lectures on varied aspects of mood disorders both regionally and nationally.
