Psychologists have obtained doctorate level degrees in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) and have specialized training in treating individuals with mental and emotional disorders. Psychologists work to research, analyze, and provide solutions for treatment and prevention of mental health disorders through study of the human mind and human behavior. They assess, diagnose, and conduct psychotherapy with patients. It is common for psychologists to work in a team of other multi-disciplinary professionals (as at the Retreat) in order to provide holistic and comprehensive mental health and wellness treatment. The psychologists at The Retreat have extensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy training and specialization in conducting psychological, personality and neurocognitive assessments.
